The Second Chapel of the Pantheon in Rome - The Graves of King Umberto I and Margherita di Savoia

The second chapel in the Pantheon was dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel and then to Saint Thomas.

It houses the tombs of the Italian King Umberto I, assassinated in Monza on July 29, 1900, and of his wife Margaret of Savoy,, Margherita di Savoia the first queen of Italy, who died in 1926 and is buried here next to her husband.

Giuseppe Sacconi (1854-1905) designed the tomb of Umberto I, which was made in 1910 by Guido Cirilli.
